Discord acquires social media app Gas. Gas is a compliments-based social media platform popular among teens. Although Discord announced it will integrate apps into its servers, Gas will remain a standalone product. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

BigPanda has named Ed Tang as its CFO. Tang has significant experience in the SaaS sector and was previously with Pinpoint, Lever, and Box.

SpaceX’s Starlink has launched in Nigeria. It is the first African country to receive service.

Ripple has partnered with Montenegro’s Central Bank to launch a pilot CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) or stablecoin project for the country. Currently, Montenegro uses the Euro and does not have its own currency.
